Let me tell you a story.
When I was a freshman, I had a crush on a sophomore. Her name’s Melissa, and she was, to this day the nicest person I’ve met.
She had a boyfriend at the time, but their relationship was in the early stages of collapse. In fact by the time I was a sophomore, they had already broken up. She liked me, I of course liked her and (being myself) did nothing about it. Not because I thought I “couldn’t get her” but because of the age/year gap. She graduated and we lost touch until last year when I found her on Facebook (don’t laugh). We talked a lot, she moved from the US and got married. I said I was happy, I meant it. It still didn’t keep me from almost crying in front of my screen.
To hell with age. I’m not making that mistake ever again.
(I’m not good with stories so I apologize if this seems broken.)
Love knows no boundaries (cliché, I know). If she makes you happy, then by all means you should completely go for it. No matter what age, race or religion. Do whatever makes you happy. <3
